The rules of the road, in plain English.
These terms govern your use of Garvin Academy. We've kept them short and readable. By using the site, signing up for the webinar, enrolling in a course, or attending an event, you agree to them.

1. Who we are
"Garvin Academy," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Garvin Academy and its operators. "Service" means the Garvin Academy website, courses, webinars, events, member areas, and related communications.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to create an account or purchase a course. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these terms.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password confidential.
- You're responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One account per person. Don't share your login or course access.
4. Courses, webinars, and events
When you enroll in a course or sign up for an event, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access that content for your own learning. You don't get to redistribute, republish, resell, or use it to train AI models.
We try hard to keep content accurate and up to date, but the Service is provided for educational purposes only. It is not legal, medical, financial, security, or professional advice for your specific situation.
5. Payments and refunds
- Prices are shown at checkout. Taxes may apply based on your location.
- Unless a specific course or event states otherwise, refund requests submitted within 14 days of purchase will be honored for any unused portion of the program.
- Free webinars and free content can be revoked or modified at any time without notice.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Copy, scrape, mirror, or redistribute any course material, video, or written content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others, or to promote illegal activity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data.
- Interfere with the operation of the site (denial-of-service, spamming, scraping, automated abuse, etc.).
- Use the Service or its content to train machine learning or AI models without our written permission.
7. Intellectual property
All course materials, written content, video, audio, graphics, logos, and software on the Service are owned by Garvin Academy or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you only the limited license described in Section 4. Everything else is reserved.
8. User-submitted content
If you submit a question, comment, application, or other content to the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You keep ownership of what you submit. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you agree to that policy as well.
10. Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party sites, tools, or services. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Use them at your own discretion.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly secure. You use it at your own risk.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Garvin Academy and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Garvin Academy from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) survive.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we'll notify account holders by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Garvin Academy primarily operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless required otherwise by your local law.
